The Franciscans appear in the sources in 1316. The Gothic church may have been built in the last third of the 14th century, and in the mid-15th century \u2013 with the support of Hunyadi J\u00e1nos \u2013 it was expanded with a new nave and a northern tower. Dendrochronological studies indicate that the oak beams of the roof structure of the sanctuary were cut in 1479\u20131480.<\/p>\n
